Role Overview

The Coworker Services Business Partner- Talent Development will focus on delivering proactive talent development solutions to CDW Canada. The BP-Talent Development will act as an internal consultant, facilitator and business liaison who will be responsible for planning and delivery of Coworker Services Programs. In this role the Business Partner will ensure all deliverables are aligned with the overall CWS strategic plan to address specific business needs related to leadership & Talent development . 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Acts as an internal consultant, facilitator and business liaison responsible for the planning and deployment of key Coworker Services Program like PMP, TRP, Total Rewards, Hiring, Benefits, Health and Safety, Ethics etc
  • Develop a strong understanding of key business challenges around talent to drive proactive CWS initiatives.
  • Supports, evaluates and organizes appropriate training/learning & coaching opportunities in alignment with departmental delivery needs & talent development programs
  • Advise, design and implements customized programs & content to meet business and professional needs of the leadership team.
  • Ensures all new hires complete the core onboarding tasks including any required training within required timelines
  • Establishes metrics and other means of monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness
  • Analyzes relevant reports and talent trends and proposes solutions
  • Researches new programs and maintains and shares knowledge about new tools and resources available with a focus on engaging leaders and coworkers.
  • Administer and effectively communicate CDW’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
  • Assist and advise management on available tools and resources to assist them with just in time talent development needs.
  • Manage multiple projects/programs and ensure project scope, documentation, verification and validation elements are maintained
  • Other duties as required within the CWS function.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner and work collaboratively with other CDW departments.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments to serve coworkers and support the management directives of the company.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

§  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or 2 years of  leadership experience.

§  2 years experience working on Talent Management Programs or Learning & Development

§  Strong communication and presentation skills

§  Strong Project Management skills.

§  Proven ability to think on your feet.

Other Required Qualifications

§  Strong comprehensive knowledge of human resource legislation

§  Full cycle recruitment experience

§  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and in a constructive, professional manner with stakeholders at all levels.  

§  Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills.

§  Proven track record of strong interpersonal skills and good judgment to manage sensitive and confidential matters.

§  Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities/projects with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines and providing high quality work and service level

§  Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and general knowledge of HRIS
