We are seeking a talented, versatile, and experienced Network & Security Architect to join the Managed Services team. Your background should have exposure to a wide breadth of technologies including Next Generation firewalls, SD-WAN, and general network infrastructure and security. In depth experience implementing and troubleshooting network technologies will be the primary focus for the role.  Excellent customer service while solving problems should be a top priority for you. What you'll do:

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and F5
  • Follow ITIL practices regarding Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Lead the development of policies and standards to be used by Managed Services coworkers
  • Document and update technical procedures, administrative processes, customer build documents and runbooks 
  • Contribute towards the development of network automation 
  • Maintain regular knowledge sessions for the operational teams
  • Developing and deploying tools to strengthen our operational footprint
  • Support the deployment of new customer solutions and ensure all details for onboarding and support have been reviewed, signed off, and implemented
  • Perform customer health checks to ensure environments are current, secured, and updated
  • Identifying repeatable tasks that can be automated to save time and money through Continuous Improvement
  • Responding to operational tasks and system alerts, escalating as required
  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized and proactive
  • Demonstrated proficiency of written and verbal communication skills (including technical writing and presentations) with ability to communicate and collaborate effectively both internally and externally

What you need to succeed:
Must-have:

  • Associate or higher Degree from a recognized college or university, preferred in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Qualifying experience and/or technical certification (e.g.CCIE, PCNSE, etc.) may substitute for the required education 
  • 3-5+ years’ experience working for a Managed Services Provider
  • 3-5+ years’ with Network Administration and Technical Ownership
  • 3-5+ years’ experience with Cisco, FortiNet, Palo Alto, and F5
  • Self-starter, flexible, adaptable, highly organized, and proactive
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and analytics skills 
  • Experience with support ticketing systems and monitoring systems
  • Prior experience with Network Automation Technologies
  • Certifications in ITILv3 or v4 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills 
  • After-hours and On-call rotation availability

Nice-to-have:

  • Certification in Network technologies such as CCIE, PCNSA/PCNSE, NSE4-7, F5-CA/F5-CTS
  • Experience supporting and managing network infrastructure, next generation firewalls, Load Balancing, and SD-WAN technologies
  • Experience with security standards and the operationalization of those standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud computing and administrative experience with Azure and AWS
  • Familiarity with Ansible Tower/AWX, Terraform, and Puppet 
  • Familiarity with Linux or Windows Operating Systems
  • Familiarity with Scrum Framework
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Deployment
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow integration / development
