As a Principal Field Solution Architect, you’ll take a high-profile, lead technology role. Focusing on pre-sales solution design, it’ll be your responsibility to collaborate with internal and external sales teams to plan and organize sales strategies and execute on the "Go-to-Market" for new offerings.  

What you’ll do: 

  • Exhibit and advance technology leadership while serving as trusted advisor, team trainer and "Go To" person for the solution, both technically and strategically 
  • Design technical solutions considering customers’ environment, business limitations and opportunities  
  • Determine and define services that complement and/or round out proposed hardware and software engagements, estimates required engineer effort 
  • Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration by organizing knowledge bases, contributing regularly, and encouraging team members to contribute 
  • Communicate, train, and support the team on changes in technologies, procedures, solution implementations and approaches 
  • Articulate solutions practice value proposition to internal/external stakeholders to generate additional revenue opportunity  
  • Engage in continuous learning by proactively expanding technical depth in products, solutions, and services and acquiring certifications in advanced technologies for CDW's Partner Certification Requirements when appropriate 

What you need to succeed: 
Must-have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
  • 15+ years technical pre-sales or technical architecting experience 
  • Proven success and experience selling technologies solutions and services 
  • Ability to travel as needed 

Nice-to-have: 

  • Relevant industry standard certifications
