The Associate eCommerce Merchandising Specialist is responsible for coordinating, creating, executing and ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of digital co-op merchandising and website content. This role works with multiple stakeholders and partners to manage and create compelling online ads, content, emails and interactive experiences on CDW.ca and related websites. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Ensures presentation of online ads to final users is complete, accurate, compelling, and delivered per the project timeline
  • Defines product and content placement opportunities based on data findings
  • Creates content that aligns both the brand voice of CDW and that of our vendor partners
  • Leverages .NET, CMS and third-party automation platforms to execute ad unit and webpage refreshes on time and without errors
  • Develops original content and writes effective call to action statements
  • Oversees ongoing page content updates and maintenance of CDW websites
  • Conducts regular QA of projects via multiple desktop browsers and mobile device types to ensure that ads and content display and function as expected

Responsibilities

  • Articulates key features and benefits of the product, service and/or technology solutions being promoted on domain or in digital communications
  • Effectively addresses creative needs for ads, content and deliverables
  • Provides timelines and updates to stakeholders and partners to manage delivery expectations
  • Collaborates with the Go-to-Market and Product & Product Management teams on advertising and marketing strategies
  • Reviews competitor websites to ensure industry alignment with categorization, promotions and emerging trends and, based upon findings, makes recommendations for changes, updates and improvements 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year working in a content management system (CMS)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • 1 year digital production experience including writing and editing content for online audiences

Other Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google docs 
  • Strong technical ability to quality learn and apply new applications
  • Proficiency of Adobe Create Cloud tools including Dreamweaver, Acrobat, and Photoshop
  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of media and knowledge of basic design principles, layout, color theory, Interface and Web Application Development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Design, Marketing or Merchandising background 
  • Prior experience in B2B or B2C eCommerce teams
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager or Adobe Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with marketing and web analytics platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Bluecore, Adobe Analytics, Omniture, Google Analytics) 
  • Project management experience in a deadline-driven environment; strong attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels

Salary range: $55,000 - $63,000, depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of $2,000 subject to terms and conditions of plan
