This position supports the sku creation and continued maintenance of vendor product, ensuring CDW Canada can sell products to our customer base. The Summer Intern will learn about CDW’s product catalogue and the maintenance of EDC data. They will review and provide reporting that will highlight detailed product records (including product attributes and accessories) which appear on our extranet site and internally in our SPS programs. This involves understanding our financial controls, complying with audits, governing the CDW taxonomy process, understanding our standard operating procedures (SOP) and enforcing policies.

What you’ll do

• Create and maintain accurate sku data
• Provide additional information as internal customers request updates, sku maintenance and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Ensure all cost changes are accurate in the system as driven by vendor and distributor announcements.
• Manage the Datalab mailbox which contains email queries from our Sales and PPM teams.
• Categorize new product records into the applicable product groups.
• Search internal database as well as manufacturer internet websites to find product attributes.
• Research and identify new products, alternative suppliers for hard to find product and alternative manufacturers.
• Responsible for ServiceNow ticket management application to maintain acceptable response times for NPI (New Product Introduction) requests.
• Work interdepartmentally and internationally to ensure consistency and efficiency of Product Data across the organization, including Canada, CDW UK and attached international outside services team.

What we’re looking for

• Currently enrolled students with a graduation date of December 2024 or April 2025 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (ex. Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Relevant experience in product data management or sku creation would be an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Can effectively communicate with business stakeholders.
• Ability to think critically and problem solve.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, follow-up, and meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects.
