Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis, the Intern Business Intelligence Analyst is a subject matter expert providing visibility into internal and external metrics. The individual works with stakeholders to identify key intelligence topics/questions, collect and retrieve data, and present actionable analyses to aid decision making. The Intern BI Analyst will consider leading and lagging indicators to identify gaps and solutions in people, process, and tools.
What you’ll do
Design and develop dashboards and reports in data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) for various audiences to track performance on leading and lagging indicators
Identify opportunities where data can support decision making and solution/deliver reports and analyses
Automate existing manual reports and suggest process improvements to accommodate the automation
Assess data systems and programs in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests
Analyze data and processes to provide business intelligence information
Advise key users and management on the content and interpretation of business data
Recommend alternative data or analysis solutions to management based on available data and business needs
Implement new data or analysis processes based on changing business or industry conditions
Identify gaps and solutions in data quality and governance
Collaborate with research and external insights team to benchmark performance and recommend actions
What you need to succeed
Must-have
Be in pursuit of a relevant college or university degree with the graduation date of December 2025 or April 2026
In progress/completed a bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, an IT related field, or equivalent experience
Excellence verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all coworkers and stakeholders, including senior leadership
Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
Understand the stages of the dashboard development life cycle, including Requirements gathering, Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation.
Demonstrated resourcefulness in the dashboard development process.
Experience with PowerBI, Microsoft Excel
Ability to manipulate data efficiently with tools, draw conclusions, and relate back to defined business problems and solutions
Nice-to-have
Experience with SQL and relational databases
The 2025 Summer Intern Program will run from May 2025- August 2025.
Pay range: $ 23- $ 25/ hour, depending on experience and skill set
