Our cybersecurity and information security jobs put you on front-line of defense and the cutting-edge of innovation. As a SOC Intern, you’ll be an integral part of our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. You will gain exposure to the critical job of monitoring security events from various SOC entry channels (SIEM, Tickets, Email, Phone) and escalations to managed service support teams, tier 2 information security specialists, and/or customers as appropriate to perform further investigation and resolution.
What you'll do:
Support SOC and Security R&D stakeholders to capture, document, and diagram functional and technical requirements for SOC process optimization and prioritization for Orchestration or Automation development planning
Track project progress and report updates to SOC management, capturing and highlighting efficiency gains
Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other technical documents
Provide administrative support to SOC team members as required
What you need to succeed:
Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate college / university program and anticipate graduating in either December 2025 or May 2026
Computer engineering education with project-management, resource-management, technical requirements gathering and project documentation experience
Solid understanding of IT including multiple operating systems and system administration (Windows, Solaris, Unix)
Basic understanding of client-server applications, multi-tier web applications, relational databases, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise antimalware solutions
Strong understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used Internet protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, POP, LDAP
Familiarity with iterative project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum and their use in the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
Availability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours throughout the duration of the program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability effectively interact with all stakeholders
Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Microsoft Office skills including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word
Effective ability to multi-task in order to handle multiple duties at the same time throughout the day
The 2025 Summer Intern Program will run from May 2025- August 2025.
Pay range: $ 25- $ 27/hour, depending on experience and skill set
