The Jr. Project Manager independently oversees small complexity engagements, owning all aspects of the project delivery from planning to close out, interacting with sales and technology team, internal and external stakeholders, and other members of cross-functional teams.

When leading a project, it acts as the project advocate ensuring success for all stakeholders by driving for results, making the tough call, and building strong relationships with project stakeholders. 

In some occasions, the Jr. Project Manager also supports more experienced coworkers in medium/large complexity projects handling administrative/management tasks as required.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Independently manages projects adhering to CDW’s project management methodology.
  • Ensures all items defined in CDW Statement of Work are delivered and performs quality assurance throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Takes accountability for project results and is fiscally responsible to the client, the project, and CDW.
  • Establishes, monitors, adjusts, and communicates tasks and associated schedule to the project team.
  • Holds project team accountable. Leads teams to consistently meet project success factors and exceed client expectations.
  • Creates and maintains presence with all project stakeholders acting as a CDW steward for quality. Dedicated to meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations, instills trust with our clients by building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identifies and successfully mitigates project risks by working with team members to gather information and determine possible/probable impacts to the project, document mitigation steps, and communicate these to the team and customer
  • Determines the appropriate documentation (communication plans, schedules/timelines, status reports, quality plan, closure summary, budget, risk plan, etc.) for projects. Manages the quality and delivery of documentation to clients
  • Ensures that time, expenses, and invoices are accurately tracked and approved against the project in a timely manner. Monitors, interprets, and communicates project budget to all stakeholders.
  • Recognizes the need for negotiations, gathers relevant information, and seeks advice when needed from more experienced coworkers before proceeding.
  • Aids in identifying proper resources and optimizing billable schedules, monitoring and adjusting assignments as necessary.
  • Manages equipment, software, licensing, and outside services procurement and delivery schedules.
  • Documents outcomes, lessons learned and shares appropriately with colleagues.


 Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT related program
  • 1 years of experience in delivering quality Infrastructure Project Management, or 1 years of experience with CDW Services organization
Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and manage basic project financials
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to the changing needs of the business and customers while still meeting deadlines
  • Ability to decompose complex problems into manageable concepts and tasks
  • Ability to apply discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time (or as needed) to other CDW locations, meetings, and/or client sites
  • Ability to participate productively with, and manage, virtual teams
  • Working knowledge of one or more formal project management methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry standard project management certifications (CAPM, CSM, etc.)

  • Industry standard IT certifications (ITIL, etc.)
  • Relevant experience working in partner and/or channel delivered solution model
  • Proficiency with PM tools such as Microsoft Project/Office, Jira, Kanban boards, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
